The Pier Festival Geelong

The Pier Festival Geelong will take place on 31 December 2010. The festival incorporates the Fireworks at Dusk event, to run from 5.30pm – 9.30pm, plus a twilight and midnight fireworks display.

The event experience

On arrival at the Geelong Waterfront, guests will be welcomed into a festival atmosphere. Free rides will line Cunningham Pier; roving entertainment will weave their magic through the crowds. Live music will play at the Youth Activities Area, with skate demos taking place between sets. You can see a gorgeous baby animal farm on Steampacket Quay as well as the stately Enterprize ship. The melody will chime from the 1892 Carousel and the aroma of hand selected food vendors will entice the crowds. The guests will meander through the twilight market on Steampacket Gardens in anticipation of the dusk fireworks spectacular. And later on, when the young children are tucked snugly into bed, the young and young at heart will welcome in the New Year with yet another amazing fireworks display fired across Corio Bay.
