The Pier Geelong was last night (24-11-16) awarded a silver trophy at the Tourism Victoria’s premier awards program for 2016. Amidst quality competition the award recognises the business’s ability to attract and delight guests to the facility and also the company’s community and ecological responsibility and engagement.
Managing Director Gillian Costa thanked her team for their enthusiasm in putting in the extra work to build the submission which in itself she stated, is a worthwhile exercise in reflection as to the company’s plans and processes.
Gillian went on to congratulate all entrants for recognising the benefits of the award program and for striving for Excellence. “It’s competition that brings out the best in us and keeps us all looking for constant improvements. To me, this award represents so much more than just our submission document. When I look at this award I see the enduring dedicated efforts of a select group of hard working professionals who have combined to create a special experience for all who are fortunate enough to frequent The Pier Geelong”
The Pier Geelong is located on the iconic Cunningham Pier and houses the City Quarter Bar, Wah Wah Gee restaurant as well as the 800 seat conference and events space, all located 250 meters out over Geelong’s idyllic Bay.
