At the Pier Geelong, we absolutely love hosting fundraiser events for so many reasons. We are particularly inspired by one amazing mother, Leann Tremul who is the mum of 12-year-old Gabrielle who has the genetic condition of Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common life threatening genetic condition in Australia and affects many of the body’s systems including lungs and digestion.
Leanne together with her amazing committee are hosting a fundraiser ball at The Pier Geelong on the 20th of May to raise money for Cure4CF Foundation to support the Adelaide CF gene therapy research group.
Leanne’s motivation to organise the ball is truly inspiring. Leanne states “Our only hope for future lies in research. I needed to help support that research so that I knew I was doing everything possible to help my daughter and everyone else with Cystic Fibrosis.”
The night promises to be lots fun with amazing entertainment from Imogen Brough, The People’s Poets and Jazz music. There will be live and silent auction and great prizes and giveaways. Every dollar raised will go into research.
