Offspring are celebrating the grand opening of their new Midway Home, Ahana. Meaning ‘first ray of light, Ahana opened to create a safe and nurturing environment for survivors of sex trafficking.
Offspring is a not-for-profit organisation working towards creating safe spaces for women and children who have been bought, sold, traded and stripped of the most basic human rights. Through equipping survivors with a fighting chance to achieve a high self-worth among society, Offspring believe that when people come together and play an active part in combating human trafficking, we will see change!
Founder & CEO, Kristi, believes wholeheartedly in the idea that “you can’t do everything, but you can do something”. It’s the little ‘somethings’ just as much as the big ‘somethings’ that create change! To think that one person can eliminate world poverty or end Human Trafficking is, well let’s be honest, unfortunately unrealistic. But it is realistic to say that every single person has the ability to ‘do something’, and together, it is ultimately the efforts of individuals which change the world.
So come along and celebrate this new milestone for Offspring! With a night of live music, delicious food and stories from our founder & panel of experts, support the opening of this new home and the courageous young women who will benefit from it!
