Education
The Pier Geelong works closely with The Gordon TAFE to create opportunity for students to view the EMC Group facilities and learn from our knowledgeable staff members. We also provide apprenticeships and traineeships in conjunction with The Gordon through our restaurant, Wah Wah Gee.
Sponsorship and support of Not for Profit
We provide vouchers for many local auctions, to support charities, school fetes and fundraisers. Some of the beneficiaries include local Primary and Secondary schools and local charities such as NAB staff charity day, Give Where You Live as well as supporting our local hospitals, both private and public.
Event Marketing Opportunity
Here at The Pier Geelong we care about the success of your event and would love to offer our network to assist in your marketing and promotion. Our expert marketing team have a wealth of experience and promote hundreds of events each year. Their expertise and the marketing services offered, if outsourced, are expensive and can cost upwards of $5000! Our package should ideally be an accompaniment to your own marketing strategy to ensure greatest exposure. Fundraiser Events
We enjoy partnering with charities to host fundraising events at The Pier Geelong. Our versatile venue allows us to grow with the events due to the versatility and capacity of the space. Our sponsorship has included The Bethany Ball, Cystic Fibrosis Ball, Give Where You Life Breakfast, VALID, Daniher’s Breakfast (A fight MND Event), Marcus Oldham’s Dolly’s Dream and more.

Disability Services
This is a significant focus on considering people living with disabilities in our region, as such we have reviewed our physical environment where practically possible and trained staff to include greater awareness in our venues, both in our handling of guests and our employment strategies. The venues also work with Gen U in providing those with disabilities practical work skill experience in kitchen environments.

The Pier Geelong are active members of Tourism Geelong, Business Events Geelong, Geelong Chamber of Commerce, Committee for Geelong and the Geelong Liquor Accord.
Partnerships
The Pier Geelong regularly undergoes staff training to ensure the inclusivity of all cultures, genders and religions. Most recently The Pier Geelong team underwent a Masterclass in LGBTI+ Weddings and are therefore members of The Equality Network. As well as this The Pier Geelong has taken part in Cultural Diversity training in partnership with The Gordon and Bellarine Tourism.
